PURCHASING PRINCIPLE

Make every quotation technically comparable.

Rigging hardware may look similar while differing in material, manufacturing route, dimensions, marking, finish and permitted load. The safest commercial comparison begins with one written specification shared by every potential supplier.

SIX-STEP CHECKLIST

From application to export packing.

Use the checklist before requesting prices so model changes do not invalidate the comparison later.

1. Define the application before choosing a model+

A useful inquiry starts with the operating condition, not a product nickname. State whether the hardware will be used for lifting, suspension, securing, tensioning, marine service or general connection. Include the loading direction, environment, connection geometry and any project-specific restriction.

2. Confirm WLL, dimensions and the governing standard+

Working Load Limit is model-specific. Buyers should identify the required WLL, safety factor or proof-load requirement, dimensional standard, material grade and finish. Never transfer a load claim from a visually similar product. ZECH confirms the final model and documentation against the buyer's stated application and standard.

3. Require batch-level quality evidence+

For safety-related orders, specify the documents required before production. Depending on the product and order, this may include material records, dimensional inspection, hardness checks, NDT/MPI, proof-load verification and batch identification. The quotation should state which checks and reports are included.

4. Compare suppliers on consistency, not only unit price+

A low unit price can be offset by mixed finishes, dimensional variation, incomplete markings, rework or delayed documentation. Industrial distributors should compare manufacturing route, process control, inspection plan, packaging, communication and corrective-action capability together with price.

5. Consolidate compatible product families+

A one-source program can reduce purchasing administration when beam clamps, shackles, G80 components, wire-rope clips, turnbuckles and stainless hardware are reviewed under one RFQ. Consolidation works best when every line still has its own confirmed model, material, finish, standard and inspection requirement.

6. Design packaging around export handling+

Confirm inner packing, labels, carton or case limits, pallet construction, moisture protection and destination marking before mass production. Mixed-product containers need a packing list that lets the importer identify each item without opening every package.

BUYER FAQ

Before requesting a quotation.

What information should an industrial buyer send for a rigging hardware quotation?+

Send the catalog reference or drawing, size, quantity, destination, application, required standard, material or finish, WLL or operating requirement, packaging preference and inspection-document requirement.

Can different rigging hardware products be included in one purchasing list?+

Yes. ZECH can review mixed lists across beam clamps, shackles, G80 lifting components, wire-rope accessories, stainless rigging and custom metal parts. Each line is technically confirmed before quotation.

Does ZECH publish universal prices or stock promises online?+

No. Prices, availability and lead times depend on the confirmed model, material, finish, quantity, packaging and testing requirement. ZECH provides an order-specific quotation after reviewing the purchasing brief.
